This is England...

This film is very relevant to our current film as we have taken alot of the styles of the mods and put it into our own film. There is a real sense of rawness in 'This is England' that I want to envelope our own film with. The agressive attitude to society and the world is what I want my character to be like. You could say that I want the skinhead in the trailer who has a cross on his forehead to be like our main character. I also based our main character's dress sense on the mod. Although i wanted a more up to date version.

The film is an independant film.

This is another independent film that has similarities to the one that we are making because it tells the story of troubled characters in a more extreme way than the main character in our film. They are troubled in the way that they spend their days drinking and doing drugs and they have very little money.

LOn Sunday 23rd we did some more filming. We got our actor, Henry to walk away from the camera spit and put up his hood in the process. We got him to also walk past and throw a plastic bottle outside the bin as a infliction against society.
The filming was not that successful as the tripod was not screwed on efficiently and the light was not very pleasant, but we made the best of the facilities we had.

This is one of the characters on out movie, she is the teacher and our protaganist steals her bag. Her name is Charlotte Simes.

This is our potagonist... His name is Henry Dobson and he plays Maxime.

Reason for moving logo

The reason we decided to make the logo move in this paticular way is because we wanted to animate our original logo and this was the most ethical way of producing a moving title. It moves in this manner from top to bottom to in a smooth transaction.

First Shooting

On Tuesday 18th we shot our first shooting. It was only the first box of our storyline because our actor was not in home clothes, but his school uniform and the shooting ran very smoothly and took place behind the shed in hopeman Woods.

Our personlised Logo

Here is our own personalised logo for a fake production company. I named the production company 'attire' because the name attire is always associated with smart and well-dressed gentleman and so I wanted to have a general sense of smartness and professionalism with our film. Attire also has a nice ring to it.

Lion's Gate moving title

Here is one of the moving titles that 'supposedly' will be supporting our film. We chose lion's gate because it is a company that supports Independant films.

As I stated before: "Lion's Gate Films have produced films such as, 'Saw,' 'American Psycho,' 'Dogma' and 'Affliction.' All of the films contain elements that re dark and gruesome. I think that this company would be quite a good supporter of our film because our film has got quite a dark feel about it, but the films that Lion's gate supports are films that have heavy subjects."

Therefore that is the reason we chose to use Lionsgate as a production company that will support our movie.

The film shooting times.

We have decided the film shooting times which will take place:
Tuesday 18th:
at 8:45 - 9:25, 10:10 - 10:05, 12:40 - 13:15

Thursday 20th:
10:10 - 10:50 and 12:00 - 12:35

These shoots will involve filming around campus with Henry.
