Finished Filming... almost

We filmed most of our film - very successfully... The light was incredible and very dramatic. We had to change our route a bit as it was not adequate considering the situation. So we just routed it, starting from the ATC Huts down past Hopeman Woods and past the classrooms finishing at Dead Dogs. The light was impecable at Dead Dogs and provided a good revelance to our film. It meant we could film our character in his element of creativity providing a huge contrast to his rough and unsuitable lifestyle filmed previously. The woods provided a potential thinking space and symbolised how our character is poetic and appreciative of beautiful things set apart from the criminal acts he pursues. We also added a few more things to the short 2 minutes that were required. Our actor peers into a broken down van, a van that is trashed and abused, maybe symbolising the boy... He also pushes a young girl carrying an ice cream out the way. We decided to cutout the 'Rah' and 'Easy girl' because we thought it was too obvious to our character so instead just had him stealing the bag from the teacher. The girl who plays the teacher is Charlotte Simes and the girl who plays the innocent character is Dolphin. We tried to film lots of different and interesting shots and we didn't necessarily follow the shot list that was designed. All in all it was a very successful shooting.
